Year 6 had a great day to begin their learning about the Ancient Maya: they learnt about the Maya number system; used clues to build a settlement; played an online game to make notes about the civilisation and used their historian skills to find out about every day life during that period. In the afternoon, they played the ancient game of pok-a-tok (no sacrifices, fortunately!) and began their art learning journey, looking at Maya jewellery. All the children demonstrated our PRIDE values beautifully.
